 You must have heard about recent news of 3.7 million new Android devices activated on Christmas alone. And according to July 2011 report by Nielson, Android has market share of 39%, larger then Apple’s 28%. For any smartphone platform to grow, apps availability is the primary reason. As per the announcement made on official Google Blog , there are 100 million total activated Android devices, 400,000 new devices activated everyday, 200,000 total apps available in Android marketplace and 4.5 billion apps installed. And if we believe this report, then there are around 350,000 apps in the Android marketplace now.

But why so many statistics, number crunching and built-up about Android? Because, the conclusion is Android is popular and have millions of users. So there must be evil people out there who are just waiting to do harm to masses. As we know Android is open source and thus it makes it more vulnerable. Anybody with sound knowledge of hacking can find the loopholes in the system and make virus which can affect millions of users worldwide. I was on the verge to buy iPhone but couldn’t because of some personal situations. And then one day I got promotional email of Nokia Lumia 800. From that day onwards I watched every video available for Nokia Lumia 800. I read every blog post, many forums and tons of news before I made the decision to go with Nokia Lumia 800 then to move to iPhone. Google Wallet officially launched on 19th this month after being announced several months ago as a way for people to use their mobile phones to pay for goods. Google Wallet works on Near Field Technology (NFC). The premise is that any real world running you complete helps a story driven adventure where you can collect supplies and find other benefits for your colony.
