9 Windows Phone Apps You Must Grab

With Microsoft phone 7.5 (Code named ‘Mango’) taking 5.2% share of the smartphone market, and number of apps in the Microsoft marketplace crossing the 100k mark, you need all the help you can get to know about the best apps in windows phone marketplace. It is our continuous effort to help you to the extent possible.

Having said that, let’s take you through some of the apps we consider noteworthy.

Angry Birds

What do we say about this game by Rovio? Ever since it came into the arena it’s been a HUGE hit, be it iPhone, Android, PC, Windows Mobile 7 and the list goes on (Just so that you know, a total of 17 platforms). The concept of pigs stealing a few birds’ eggs (for some weird reason), and then the birds getting angry and (literally) throwing themselves on to the pigs to save the eggs was just too hilarious and eye-catching. Add to that the amazing graphics and story board, a great set of game-levels and rewards, this game is a huge hit and would top the list hands-down.

gMaps Pro

Google is one company that is serious about its offerings and tops the charts for providing the best official apps. But gMaps Pro here is our preference as a client for Google maps. This Google maps client comes loaded with local scout, street view and Google latitude all in one package. It comes in a host of languages too (supports more than 40 Google languages and fully localized for 10 languages). Coming back from the dead; this app has definitely created a place of its own in the apps arena with pretty much all the features of Google maps available. Want more? How about sharing a map via message or email? Sounds amazing, right?

All you need to do is register yourself with Spotify and you can access a host of features this app has to offer. Create your own playlists, explore and play friends’ playlists, sync your playlists on the go (it syncs your playlists on mobile and computer). Using the Metro UI and still retaining its distinct color scheme, this app is well animated and very easy to use.
