With unprecedented success of Android in smart phone’s world, more and more major brands are now coming up with specialized apps for Android.
Almost all top brands now have their app listed in Android market place, so that their customers can remain connected to their brands. According to mobile analysis firm Distimo’s report, 91% of the top brands have presence in at least one app store. These top brands include names like Coca-Cola, BMW, Disney, GE, IBM etc.

1. Financial Times
With ever increasing mobile readers of Financial Times, the newspaper has come up with its own app for Android. Apart from easy navigation and excellent user interface, the latest release of this app allows users to access automatic content updates, even while remaining offline. These updates can also be set at a specific time.
After going in rue with Apple over commission issue, it seems FT has now inked a deal with Google and Samsung for launching its app. This app is free to download from android market place and FT web portal too and users get 8 stories a month, but you need to pay to get more stories. Depending upon what features you want, the cost can vary from $7-10.
2. BMW EV App
This unique app developed by ‘BMW of North America, LLC’ allows you to analyze driving patterns and determine if a BMW ActiveE or an upcoming BMW all-electric vehicle is right for you. This android app is specially designed to get you actively involved as Collective Engineers in creating the Electric Vehicles (EV) of tomorrow.
Once your trip has been logged in this app, you can connect to the EV Dashboard at BMWActivateTheFuture.com, to get deep information and overview and find out how switching to a BMW EV will impact your life and the society around you.

3. BMW Mobile App
BMW Mobile App is the official app from BMW Italy. This app is considered to be the standalone app to provide you with all favorite BMW models. All car sections of this app are freely available, however to get access to its premium contents, you will need to sign up. The premium content includes Latest news on BMW, Dedicated BMW music by Sony Music, free download from Sony Music catalog.
This app also allows you to follow all BMW events or may be even drive your favorite BMW model. You can share your BMW experience with your friends too through social network.
4. Lines Disneyland Wait Times App
Enrich your ‘Disneyland’ experience with this app. The Disneyland app will help you make your next Disneyland trip easier. This app ensures that you don’t miss out any attraction in Disneyland, with this app in your mobile you can keep up where the crowd is and what attractions are to be experienced next.

It is a happy news for all android users that now you can get access to My BMW Remote App. With this app you can do following remote actions:-
- Open and close your car.
- Use climate control functions.
- Track your car- The vehicle finder function works for up to 1500 meters, you can track your car by blowing its horn or by using flash light. If the car is way out of your line of sight and hearing, a small map will pop out guiding you to your car.
- Point of Interests- You can send point of interests to your car navigation system. To identify Points of Interests, you can use address book of your device or simply use Google local Search, which in built in with this app.
BMW is also planning to come out with advanced features for this app next year. The feature may include:-
- Battery charging from outside the car.
- Real Time Traffic Information ( RTTI).
