Conqu : Task Management Made Easy [Multi-Platform]
Getting organized using a tablet makes perfect sense since they are more accessible than laptops and have larger screens than smartphones. Conqu is the app for arranging all of your tasks in one place and with the optional ConquSync service, you can work with others to complete tasks and have shared completed tasks sync to every user. Conqu supports range of tablets including iPad, BlackBerry Playbook, Nook and any Android tablet. Getting Things Done (GTD) is top priority app for any professional or business person as they have many tasks and To-Do at their disposal which they can’t remember in its entirety. So apps like Conqu which supports not just tablets but Android smartphones too, comes in handy when you’ve different set of devices in your kitty.
Conqu Features
* Gorgeous user interface is easy to use
* Quick add for adding tasks
* Tags for grouping similar tasks together
* Schedule tasks for the future to be reminded later
* Bulk edit tasks
* Delegate tasks to specific users
* Notifications of tasks added/completed by others
* Sync with multiple devices using ConquSync
* BackBurner for moving less important tasks
* Multi-platform service
The main benefit of using Conqu as an organizational tool is that it lets you share and collaborate with others when combined with ConquSync. While ConquSync is not necessary to use the app on any device, it does make collaborating on projects with others much easier. Any tasks that you share with users who also use ConquSync will be pushed directly to their devices. Once these tasks are completed, you’ll be notified of that as well. For users who don’t opt to use ConquSync, a handy web page is emailed and you still receive notifications when they check items from the list.
The interface for Conqu is extremely easy to navigate and all tasks that are due within the day are arranged neatly. Users can seamlessly switch between past, present, and future tasks with the touch of a single button. Tasks can be edited on the fly as well, if more information needs to be included or the due date needs to be pushed back further. Scheduling tasks lets you set tasks in the future to show up within the daily menu when they come due. The only real feature that Conqu is missing is the ability to add recurring tasks that appear on a specific date each week or month.
The BackBurner feature also makes it so instead of deleting less important tasks that you can’t perform right away, you can move them to this area to be completed at a later time. This way you can still keep the tasks on your mind and go back and complete them as you see fit. If you move a shared task to the BackBurner, it will be moved to the BackBurner for everyone, letting them know you think the task isn’t that important at the moment.
Bulk edit makes it easy to move tasks, assign them a different color, or change their due date. This is great for tasks that go hand in hand with one another, since individually editing each task for the same parameters can be a real pain. Bulk Edit changes are also synced through ConquSync, so any changes you make will be shared with users of the application.

Overall, Conqu is a great tool for organizing your life that is available on multiple platforms. The app performs best on tablet devices such as the iPad, BlackBerry Playbook, Nook, or any Android tablet. There is also an Android phone version available that provides a smaller user interface compared to the tablet big brother interface. With ConquSync, you can collaborate with an entire team and delegate tasks to get them done. The only downside of the service is to use ConquSync, it costs around $5 a month, or $50 a year per user. Though ConquSync is entirely optional. If you’re not working in teams then ConquSync is not required and hence Conqu can be used Free. However, for teams who are serious about their collaboration tools, Conqu definitely needs consideration.
