Get Noticed On Facebook : Stratagies To Get More Fans, Likes And Comments

Get Noticed On FacebookWhen it comes to promoting your blog posts or branding your product or services, then perhaps online social media services like Facebook, Twitter, Digg, My Space etc play a vital role in this regard. Facebook with its mammoth number of users tops the list of social networks, with more than 700 million users till date (and still counting!!), promoting your product, services, blog posts etc can actually give you a much desired kick start to your business.

But the question is, how to do it? How to get noticed on Facebook, while there are several others trying the same. Well this article is all about this. In this article I would be giving you some insights of Facebook, with the help of some surveys conducted by BuddyMedia. So lets begin.

Share content in non working hours

Well the reason is quite obvious, most of the people will (and do) access FB just after or before going to office, so of course  you would want maximum users to be online on Facebook when you share your content. Buddy Media found that the content shared in non working hours had 20% more engagement than the content shared in working hours.

Keep Content Short

Nobody wants to read epics on Facebook, so keep your content as short as possible. And it would be best if you can keep your content below 80 characters, because according to Buddy Media, contents below 80 characters have a staggering 70% high engagement rate than the content with more characters.

Use Images

If its possible to do it, the try to share images. I know its kind of difficult to do so, but try to make an attractive image with a little text in it related to your content. And if you have a single line content to share then you should better use image, as you can easily create an image and insert the single line content in the image itself.

The reason why I am emphasizing more on images is that images shared on Facebook get 22% more likes and comments than videos and 54% more than text-based content.

Stick to Fridays and Thursdays

Studies by Buddy Media suggests that content shared on Thursdays and Fridays get 18% more likes and comments. Other weekdays (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and Saturdays are strict No-No. If your content is in any way related to finance then Sundays are the best.

Well it is strange that engagement rate is lower on Saturdays too, may be because Saturdays are those days when people indulge themselves into their “Real” social networks!!

Engage your readers

Try to engage your readers by asking any question in your post. And according to BuddyMedia, placement of question also affects the engagement of the reader. According to them placing questions at the end of the content yield 15% more engagement.

Avoid using words like”Buy” “Shop”

Don’t use these words as they tend to get low engagement from Facebook users. Instead try using words like “take” “submit” etc i.e words which involve some action from the users.

I hope these tips would surely help you out in your endeavor of getting noticed on Facebook.
