As I browsed my email account, I got a shocker! “ZYB end of service notification”. I’ve never anticipated that such a great service will go out of market so early! ZYB is (was!!) a great service where one can backup their phone data including the very precious mobile contacts a.k.a. address book. Though I’ve never explored other mobile data backup services, the contacts backup was the best. Once I lost my mobile. I got a new one and in instant it was loaded with all my contact numbers using ZYB sync. I was grateful that I used their service. Even I wrote a How-To article here on GoosPoos about saving contacts online using ZYB. The privacy was great too. See their mail excerpt below.

Update : Now you can use Mobical to use backup mobile contacts online. A good alternative to Zyb.

As you may know, on July 31st ZYB will be closing. After this point you will no longer be able to use the service so please make sure you backup any stored content you may have before this date.

Though the reason they are giving is they are opening new social service with Vodafone named 360. Seems it’s about money! And even that’s a right choice too. If you are a ZYB user, don’t forget to backup your mobile data somewhere else ( Update : You can use Mobical ). RIP ZYB! And best of luck for your new service.
