How To Insert Images/Pictures In Gmail Email Message
I wonder why this feature is not by default in Gmail? Most of the people who writes Emails want to insert images inline in to their messages more often. Process to enable this feature is bit tricky in Gmail and I’ll explain that with screen-shots to make it easy to understand and follow. Let’s see this process step-by-step.
Step-1 : Go To “Settings”
In the right top most corner of your gmail page, click on the “Settings” link. That will take you to the Settings Page.

Step-2 : Click On “Labs” Tab
Clicking on the “Labs” tab will open all the gmail labs features (There are lots of them). You can see this “Inserting Images” feature almost at the end of the list. Select “Enable” radio button. Now at the end of page, click on the “Save Changes” button and your settings will be saved. Gmail will be reloaded then.

Step-3 : How to insert images in Email?
For this feature to show up, you should turn on the “Rich Formatting” feature while composing email. You can see extra button like one below shown in the screen-shot. Whenever you want to insert image in the message, click on that button. It’ll bring dialog box to upload the picture from either “My Computer” or “Web Address”. Click “Ok” ones image is uploaded and you’re done.
