pdf-count Earlier we have seen how to count words in Microsoft Word documents. This article will show how to count words and characters in PDF files. Along with PDF files, you can count words in HTML, XML, CSV and text files too. CountOnIt is free online utility which will help you to do this. There are lots of software utilities are available but this method I feel is quite easy and handy. You can use CountOnIt where internet connection is available.

How To Count Words In PDF Files
The process is quite simple and straight forward. Browse the file you wanted to count words in and press ‘Count’ button. See the screenshot below. I’ve counted words in one PDF file. It shows me number of characters with and without space, and number of words. It’s only drawback is, it count words in Microsoft Word documents. You can upload upto 1 MB sized files.
